IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. As an FP&A Director at IPL Schoeller you will:
Responsible for the coordination and management of the overall monthly report on the business performance for submission to Divisional and Group Management.
Responsible for the coordination of the annual budget across the 8 plants in the division, collaborating with the functional business leads to prepare financial projections of various business and strategic plans for the business and to organise and lead the management team in the preparation, presentation, and delivery of performance against those budgets, business plans and strategic plans.
Lead and direct divisional financial business planning around quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. Driven by the input of the commercial and commercial finance teams, work with plant management and department heads to model and prepare projected labour, overhead and SG&A spending needs to meet budgeted sales revenue and sales volume
Drive the overall performance of the division, through continuous improvement of the FP&A function, for the achievement of its overall vision and strategic objectives - in terms of customer profitability, segment volumes, cost control, spending review etc.
Lead the weekly revenue/volume/EBITDA forecasting process for the division, tracking changes and highlighting variances from budget and prior year and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Together with Commercial Finance Director perform variance analysis on sales, gross margin, costs, and profitability to identify root causes for deviations and define corrective actions, and ultimately oversee. Implement corrective actions with the local plant finance and management teams.
Take ownership of the cost savings initiative framework, continuously refining and adapting it to align with evolving business needs and industry best practices.
Actively taking part in the finance leadership across the group along with the VP of Finance and other divisional leads within IPL Schoeller to shape and implement a finance strategy for the group.
Ad-hoc requests to support the division and as directed by the VP of Finance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain subsidiaries’ capital structures consistent with business, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for coaching and developing direct reports and managing high-performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions.
Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate the exchange of information and to implement needed change and improvements.
Complete regular performance reviews, and manage attendance, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate.
What you will bring to the role:
Qualified accountant with minimum of 7 years PQE, preferably within manufacturing, with solid demonstration of Finance Partnering in Commercial finance
Experience with analysing large amounts of data, and ability to synthesize financial / business impact information into clear and concise summaries for presentations.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
ERP experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
Experience in a Private Equity (PE) or PLC environment is advantageous.
