The role
As Treasury Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the organisation’s working capital, daily liquidity and financial risk. You will manage the European multi-currency cashpool, be responsible for liquidity positioning, cash flow forecasting and management of critical bank relationships. This role requires a capacity to work cross functionally, a strong understanding of manufacturing cash cycles, an understanding of international trade finance and commodity and FX exposure.
As a Treasury Manager at IPL you will:
Manage working capital and plan liquidity on a day-to-day basis
Manage all elements of our European cashpool
Manage and understand daily, weekly and rolling cash flow forecasts
Support working capital optimization initiatives across procurement, inventory, and receivables
Collaborate with procurement to manage hedging strategies for raw materials
Oversee European bank relationships and lead bank consolidation across our European business
Manage portfolio of intercompany loans
Monitor and manage foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity risk exposures
Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
Evaluate and implement treasury management systems and process improvements
Support M&A activities, capital investments, and financing strategies as needed
What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA is advantageous)
Professional certification such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) is a plus
5–8 years of progressive experience in treasury or corporate finance, preferably in manufacturing or packaging industries
Strong knowledge of working capital management, day to day cash management, FX, trade finance, and banking instruments
Proficiency in treasury systems and Excel modelling
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in a global or multi-currency environment is desirable
