The role
We are seeking a commercially driven and customer-focused Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic global accounts within the Logistics Solutions market. The ideal candidate will bring experience from reusable transport packaging, pooling, warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, system integration, or a related solutions-based industry. They will have a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles, developing strategic customer partnerships, and delivering project-based solutions that drive long-term business value.
As a Key Account Manager at IPL Schoeller you will:
Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value key accounts across logistics solutions markets (e.g., food, beverage, personal care, industrial, pharma).
Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, quality, logistics) to deliver customized packaging solutions.
Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
Drive sustainability initiatives by advising clients on recyclable, biodegradable, and lightweight packaging options.
Coordinate packaging trials, product launches, and technical support with cross-functional teams.
Track and report on account performance, sales forecasts, and KPIs using CRM tools.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
What you will bring to the role:
Proven experience managing strategic or global key accounts within reusable transport packaging, pooling solutions, warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, system integration, logistics solutions, or a related B2B environment.
Demonstrated success in complex, project-based solution selling, with the ability to manage long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and high-value commercial opportunities. Experience selling integrated solutions is preferred over transactional product sales.
Strong strategic account management capabilities, including the development and execution of account plans that drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.
Proven ability to develop and manage a healthy commercial pipeline, identify growth opportunities, and build compelling business cases that deliver value for both the customer and the organisation.
Experience leading complex commercial negotiations, including pricing strategies, contractual agreements, and multi-year partnership arrangements.
Established network of relevant industry contacts across logistics, supply chain, automation, warehousing, retail, manufacturing, or related sectors.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at operational, procurement, engineering, and executive levels.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to assess profitability, return on investment, and customer business drivers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional and international teams.
Strong planning, organisational, and project management skills.
