Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

The role
Schedule
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour rotating, two-week cycle
Position Summary
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance. Supports equipment modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime
Install, move, and modify equipment while ensuring proper mechanical and electrical setup
Inspect equipment and document repairs or maintenance needs
Support production teams and assist with machine-related issues
Maintain maintenance logs and manage inventory of parts and supplies
Provide training to team members as needed
Follow all GMP, food safety, and safety procedures (including Lockout/Tagout)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and production equipment
Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
Experience operating lifts (e.g., scissor lift) preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete floors for extended periods
Frequent climbing and working at heights
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and use hand tools regularly
Work Environment
Manufacturing setting with industrial noise and moving equipment
Temperature-controlled facility (approx. 65°F–85°F)
Exposure to plastic materials and forklift traffic
Additional Requirements
Willingness to complete safety training (forklift, LOTO, arc flash, etc.)
Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork
Positive attitude and commitment to safety and quality
