The role
Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator is part of the Shipping and Receiving Team. As Shipping Coordinator, you will work in collaboration with the Shipping Department to manage the flow of information and paperwork to assist in on time shipping and compliance. The position will require the use of customer specific internet programs along with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the Home Depot freight system. Manage all current online freight confirmations. Print all shipping paperwork, BOL, packing list, etc. Manage all EDI and ASN compliant customers. Compile all paperwork to be returned to office for billing. Complete all Home Depot paperwork and send to shipping locations (RRF). Support Shipping Department with phone, email, and administrative responsibilities. Manage transactions on a WMS system. Invoicing and document organization Support Shipping Department with administrative responsibilities ASN Transmission Help assist with month and year-end inventories.
Qualifications:
Prior work experience with WMS systems and use of RFF scanners a plus. Prior experience with UPS and FedEx systems a plus. Ability to read, speak, and understand English Ability to safely operate a forklift – certification provided on-site Reliability and good attendance is imperative Ability to work from written and verbal instructions Time management, planning, and organization skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work as a team and maintain good working relationships with co-workers Math aptitude – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Prior work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment Working Conditions: Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day. Frequent lifting of between 10 lbs. and 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Frequent reaching and stretching Cement flooring Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Moderate to loud noise level – hearing protection is required Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous priority changes and short-notice activity.
