The role
The Operations Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting with equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and routine preventative maintenance. This role helps ensure machines run safely, efficiently, and consistently to meet production goals.
What You’ll Do
Set up and operate various machine tools used in the production process.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with material loading systems, molding machines, and related equipment.
Select proper tooling for different materials and operating conditions.
Build simple mechanical fixtures to support manufacturing needs.
Perform basic repairs on assembly fixtures, test fixtures, and molds.
Diagnose equipment problems and independently take corrective action.
Change molds as needed based on production requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all safety rules and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of related mechanical, technical, or manufacturing experience.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hand‑eye coordination.
Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts and at elevated heights.
Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, climbing, bending; occasional kneeling, stooping, and crawling.
Lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
Push/pull up to 450 lbs with a manual pallet jack.
Push/pull up to 150 lbs when moving material hoppers.
Ability to visually and audibly inspect machinery.
Work near moving mechanical parts and in elevated areas.
Required PPE: safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection.
