The role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our finance team in the private equity backed sustainable plastic manufacturing sector operating in over 25 locations globally. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams (located across the US, Canada and EMEA) to drive financial efficiency and tax compliance. This position requires a person who is not only proficient in tax laws and regulations but also possesses strong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial data.
Analyse and prepare all relevant tax returns for the organisation, supporting automation opportunities where possible.
Support in preparing transfer pricing documentation and calculation.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on company operations.
Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
Conduct research on tax-related issues and prepare informative reports.
Calculate and analyse tax provisions and liabilities in accordance with accounting standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Qualified tax or accounting professional or minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance and analysis.
Strong knowledge of local, and international tax regulations.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear interaction with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
