On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). The Company’s operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants).

IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. We're looking for an analytical Assistant Accountant who can proactively support and contribute to our finance team at our recycling plant, Brightgreen.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

• Sales ledger credit control and daily/weekly reporting

• Weekly Sales report

• Assist in Management Accounting data collection

• Daily cashbook update, posting and weekly Bank reconciliation

• Assist with year-end preparation and audit information preparation

• Month end journal preparation and posting

• Assist Balance sheet reconciliations and signoff

• Maintain Fixed Asset register

• Assist with quarterly MTD VAT return submission backup

• Assistance with preparation of Bank payment runs

• Participate in Internal improvement initiatives

• Monthly payroll preparation

• Other adhoc duties as defined by Finance Director

• Adherence to corporate reporting procedures and standards

Qualifications and Experience Required

• AAT qualified /early stage of CIMA/ACCA studies

• Good large/medium ERP system experience

• High level of Excel experience

• Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers of the finance dept.

• A self-starter, ability to take initiative, work well under pressure and manage key priorities.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Focus on achieving tight reporting deadlines

• Ideally manufacturing experience together with a strong transactional background

• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
