The role
IPL Schoeller is looking for a proactive, relationship‑driven Key Account Manager to lead and grow business across some of the most influential names in home improvement. Preference is for this candidate to be located in southeast United States.
30-50% travel required for the role.

What You’ll Do
Account Management & Customer Engagement
The Key Account Manager serves as the primary commercial contact for assigned retail accounts, providing proactive, high‑touch support
Build strong relationships with merchant, sourcing, replenishment, and supply chain teams
Lead customer-facing activities including business reviews, line reviews, pricing discussions, and new item submissions
Monitor retailer scorecards, OTIF performance, and compliance metrics and drive improvements internally
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute annual strategic account plans aligned to our retail channel strategy
Identify new distribution opportunities through assortment optimization and targeted growth initiatives
Manage forecasts, demand trends, and the sales pipeline in partnership with Sales Ops, Customer Service, and Supply Chain
Support pricing strategy through quote preparation, margin analysis, and execution of approved actions
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure customer requirements are delivered flawlessly
Coordinate cross-functional support for new product launches, engineering updates, and packaging changes
Partner with the Senior Sales Director on forecasting, budgeting, and executive reporting
Data, Analytics & Reporting
Use ERP/CRM systems to manage opportunities, evaluate performance, and support reporting
Track customer KPIs, category trends, and competitive activity to inform strategic planning
Translate insights into clear recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
Project & Process Management
Lead issue-resolution efforts and internal problem‑solving for assigned accounts
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and data accuracy
Contribute to SKU rationalization, standardized assortments, and profitability optimization
What You Bring
5–7 years of experience in account management, sales, or commercial roles supporting large retailers
Direct experience with supporting major home improvement retailers (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sherwin-Williams, Ace Hardware, Do It Best, Floor & Decor, etc.)
Background in manufacturing, consumer durables, or product-based industries preferred
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales trends, pricing, and margin structures
Proven success working cross‑functionally and managing multiple priorities
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems (IFS experience a plus)
Willingness to travel to customers and IPL facilities as needed
Location: Remote (with periodic travel)
